When i looked at the eGPU I realized I never tried to run it from the display port on the eGPU, when I did that the monitor was working and I was able to disable the iGPU so I knew I was on the eGPU. The second time I disabled the PCI port and restarted there were some huge graphic problems and I had to restart again, now that the PCI port was disabled I tried installing the drivers multiple times and got it installed! The last problem I got was was that eGPU was not working even though it said it was working properly in device manager, when I disabled the iGPU the eGPU did not run and windows was using backup graphics. After restart I got a blue screen ( BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO) and had to run system restore. Then I realized I needed to fully disable the dGPU, so in device manager instead of disabling the video adapter I disabled the PCI port that had the dGPU and restarted. It took some time but finally I got the eGPU fully working, after windows reinstall I installed the AMD drivers but I had many problems but instead of full reinstall of windows I use system restore instead. I just disabled the PCI port that was connected to my eGPU and the fans continued spinning after crash/blank screen at boot! I install the drivers using AMD's installer but after install the AMD driver installer opens Radeon Software but it says no AMD drivers is found, after restart (going off safe mode) it crashes with the eGPUĪlso when i went to normal Windows with the eGPU (no drivers installed) it shows error 31 and it also says "The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter".I restart the laptop though sometimes it goes off safe mode but it won't crash because there are no drivers installed (it only crashes with drivers).I use DDU or AMD's built in clean up utility to uninstall the drivers.I go to safe mode since the eGPU is detected there.I wonder if i have done something that helped make it boot that i forgot. UPDATE: I reinstalled the AMD drivers and got it to work once, but it can't play games because something is wrong with the OpenGL version (it seems to be stuck on 1.1, I got an error trying Minecraft) so i decided to reinstall but then I could not boot it up and make it work properly now, when i install the drivers it keeps saying no AMD driver is found so i can't make it run anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.ĬPU: Intel Core i7-6500U 2.50GHz (Intel HD Graphics 520) When i go on safe mode, the eGPU is detected and the laptop does not crash but I cant play any games properly in safe mode. I have a ZBook 15u G3 and i am using the NGFF wire to connect to the graphics card, when i boot up my laptop the graphics card starts working but when my laptop is meant to boot to windows 10 there is just a blank screen and the fan on the laptop goes really fast, i tried to use the PTD delay on the eGPU but it seemed to do nothing when i plugged the graphics card after a few seconds the graphics card is not detected, the first time i boot it up everything was fine and i saw the card in device manager but it was lagging badly and crashed (without a blue screen).
